Martha's Vineyard Commission Project Review Location: Edgartown, Massachusetts Date completed: 1998 Client: Hill & Barlow, P.C., Boston, MA. and the Martha's Vineyard Commission
Dodson Associates reviewed a proposed development plan for a sensitive site in Edgartown, Massachusetts for the Martha's Vineyard Commission through their legal counsel, Hill & Barlow, PC. The 50-unit luxury residential development project, Herring Creek Farm, had been previously rejected by the Commission on environmental and planning grounds, resulting in a law suit brought by the developers. Dodson Associates, working with a multi-disciplinary team, prepared alternative development plans for the project, reducing its environmental, aesthetic and social impacts. The alternative plan is currently being negotiated with the developers and their consultants. Dodson Associates will provide expert testimony.
